Intimate Wedding at San Francisco City Hall, California

This wedding at San Francisco City Hall was an absolute dream. The day started at Isabel and Neema’s apartment, which was only a short 10 min drive from City Hall. I joined them while they got ready and I was immediately in love with her details. Her vintage Chanel shoes and jacket were the perfect choice. When photographing Neema, I started telling him how I had always wanted to photograph an elopement/wedding at City Hall. I said “I’ve waited years for this” and he just looked at me and said “yeah…me too”. It was the sweetest!! They had a short and sweet “first look” in their kitchen where they then toasted champagne while we waited for the uber. The car ride to City Hall was filled with laughter, anxious excitement and joy.

Once we arrived to San Francisco City Hall, they were greeted by their family. They chose to keep things very intimate and only had their immediate families present at the ceremony. Their ceremony took place on the 4th floor…which if you have ever been to San Francisco City Hall, you know that is the MOST beautiful floor. The natural light in that space is unparalleled. Their ceremony was short and sweet, filled with laughter, tears and cheers from their families. After the ceremony we ran around City Hall taking couples portraits. It was so fun, especially the photos we did in the elevator. Neema had to periodically wave his arm just to keep the doors open.

Of course to finish off the day, we had to do the grand exit from City Hall! Bouquet and hands in the air! Although their wedding was faster than most, it was filled with more love and joy than I could even begin to imagine. It was an absolute honor to celebrate alongside them.
