Heather and Sam had a beautiful, intimate ceremony at San Francisco City Hall in February 2023. The day began at the Palace Hotel , a beautifully historic hotel located in downtown San Francisco. I arrived just as Heather was completing her hair and make-up. With a glass of champagne in one hand and her girls by her side, Heather was relaxed and excited for the day. I had so much fun photographing all of Heather’s details. Not to mention, Dragonfly Florals from Healdsburg provided the most stunning bouquet. Once everyone was ready, we did a quick first look for Heather and Sam at the hotel and then jumped into their car to make our way to City Hall.
When we arrived at San Francisco City Hall, the excitement was building. Heather and her daughter walked together, arms linked, to the City Hall entrance. Most of their family and friends were already there waiting for them. After a few quick hellos and some family portraits, it was time for the ceremony to begin. One of my favorite parts of small, intimate weddings is the ceremony. Saying your vows surrounded by your closest family and friends…there is nothing more special than that. During the ceremony I spotted Heather’s parents. They were holding hands, positively BEAMING as they witnessed their daughter get married.
After the ceremony we bounced around taking photos. From the iconic City Hall steps to the stunning balconies. I loved being a part of their wedding.
Heather and Sam, it was an honor to witness this chapter in your story.

Amy, you did a fantastic job in capturing the magic of Heather and Sam’s wedding day! Thank you isn’t enough, but thanks so much nonetheless! Hugs!
There are no words to describe what an amazing job you did, Amy. The photos were the most important aspect of our wedding and they could not have been any better. You captured Sam and I and our family just as we are, as if you have known us forever. We will be able to look back and enjoy these pictures for many years to come. Thank you so much!
